Dear Pastors and Colleagues
I greet you all in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
As promised when I was with you in Cheptebo in November 2011 I have now prepared a copy of my lecture notes on the Sermon on the Mount. Initially it is the notes from Matthew Ch5. The following chapters will be available soon. They are for you to use however you wish and I trust they will be of value to you as you as you prepare your messages and minister in your churches. My prayer is that together with the congregations you serve we may live ‘kingdom lives in a fallen world’ for King Jesus.
What is available to you from these notes is the result of my reading and studying other writers as they comment on this most famous sermon. Nothing in these notes is original to me. You will find some names referred to in brackets i.e. (Charles Price). These references are informing you where that particular phrase or thought came from.
The base material used in the preparation of these notes comes from the following resources:
Charles Price “Mathew” published by Christian Focus Publications, Tain, Scotland
