25th Anniversary Celebrations

The year 2011 marked the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Cheptebo project. This was celebrated firstly by a visit to the UK of the present Project Manager Joseph Kimeli and his wife Sally. Sally serves as Conference Hostess at Cheptebo. The purpose of their trip, carried out in April and May, was to visit churches, individuals and other groups who have been involved in the development of Cheptebo centre over the years. This involved an extensive series of meetings in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland and provided opportunities to report on the work and progress and to rejoice and thank God for His faithfulness over these last 25years at Cheptebo.

The culmination of the celebrations was a event held at Cheptebo Centre on Sunday 20th November. The event attracted a very large attendance for the Service of Thanksgiving. A large number of overseas visitors attended and together with visitors from around Kenya the tatal attendance was estimated at between five and eight thousand. The chief Guest and main speaker was Presiding Bishop  of AIC Kenya.
A special Magazine was produced for the 25th Anniversary celebrations. This can be viewed here
