Cheptebo Agricultural Training and Innovation Centre [CATIC] is the formal agricultural training component of the A.I.C Cheptebo Rural Development Centre. Our vision is ;
'To be an agricultural centre of excellence providing practical and innovative training within a Christian context'.
Residential training courses are based on proven production methods developed on the Cheptebo farm over the past 33 years. The centre specialises in agricultural production particularly relevant to the semi arid areas.Training includes classroom instruction but course participants will spend the majority of the time on practical learning within the project farm.Over 1000 farmers have already completed training modules at CATIC and many have gone on to establish successful farming enterprises.

Introducing our Teaching Staff
Most of the teaching and practical training is undertaken by Cheptebo Farm staff who have many years of practical experience in semi arid agricultural production and continue to be involved in the running of the farm. The Cheptebo Centre farm is available for demonstration and to provide practical experience to students in crop and livestock production. Where appropriate, other specialist trainers with particular expertise are brought in to provide training in some subject areas.
