Cheptebo Agricultural Training and Innovation Centre [CATIC] is the agricultural training component of the A.I.C Cheptebo Rural Development Centre. 

​ CATIC's vision is to be:

 ' An agricultural centre of excellence, providing practical training
and undertaking innovative research within a Christian context, with particular emphasis on the semi-arid areas.'  

Residential training courses are based on proven production methods developed on the Cheptebo farm over the past 33 years. The centre specialises in agricultural production particularly relevant to the semi arid areas. Training includes classroom instruction but course participants will spend the majority of the time on practical learning within the project farm. Over 1000 farmers have already completed training modules at CATIC and many have gone on to establish successful farming enterprises.

​Meet the CATIC Teaching Staff
Most of the teaching and practical training is undertaken by Cheptebo Farm staff who have many years of practical experience in semi arid  agricultural production and continue to be involved in the running of the farm. Where appropriate, other specialist trainers with particular expertise are brought in to provide training in some subject areas.
​The Cheptebo Centre farm is available for  demonstration and to provide practical experience to students in crop and livestock production. ​
